The annual international program orientation day for the new students of IBMBA and GHRM took place on the 11th of September 2024. It was an event that everyone looked forward to. The International Program Office organizers made sure to make the new students feel welcome, by facilitating the finding of the venue through different methods both online and on the location, as well as guiding them to a short and simple registration process. The setup of the venue also added to a cozy and engaging atmosphere, which made students feel more at ease and comfortable about their new beginning.

This time, the International Program Office provided delicious Korean kimbap with different dietary options which were ready for the students to pick up once the activity was wrapped up. A good supply of energy is necessary after having engaged in a series of different activities that we will talk about more in detail in the next paragraph.

A welcoming greeting started off the event followed by an introduction of the program. Valuable information regarding the university's various offerings were introduced and students were encouraged to stay open, confident and challenge themselves, as well as to allow themselves to fully experience Taiwanese culture.

This year around, a beloved host Ryan Fernandez, who is also a GHRM MBA alumnus, was back again with his unique series of team-building exercises. The nature of these exercises was meant to be fun but also teach some important notions regarding team work and also individual performance. Ryan reinforced the importance of developing positive relationships with professors, fellow students and coworkers in the future. Topics such as communication, leadership, attentiveness, trust, flexibility and a strong sense of accountability were intertwined in all of the activities he had prepared.

The event continued with Geoffrey the providing a brief overview and guide containing key information regarding GHRM and IBMBA programs, along with some tips on how to enhance the academic life at NSYSU, as well as future career prospects.

The activity ended with a group photo session and the students were then guided to the main hall where they could take their meal and talk over the activities they had just participated in.
