This year, the course instructor of Organization Behaviour, Dr. Heidi Chang, took 11 Taiwanese and 20 International students to visit Ocean Alexander. Professor Heidi also invited Chairman of Alexander Marine Co., Ltd., Johnny Chueh, as a guest speaker to introduce his business strategy and life philosophy.

Ocean Alexander is a prominent player in the luxury yacht industry, not only specializing in the design and construction of opulent, high-performance yachts, but also provide unparalleled service. Since established in 1977, the company has been synonymous with craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury. Ocean Alexander's dedication to blending state-of-the-art technology with timeless design has solidified its position as a premier name in the world of luxury yachting.

From bow to stern, the company visit gave us the opportunity to get a glimpse of the luxury boat. Ms. Dephnewen, the friendly and beautiful lady from the Ocean Alexander, kindly answer every question from our curious student, and show us the knowledge about the construction procedure of yacht. After the short visit inside the yacht, Johnny, the CEO of Ocean Alexander, gave us the presentation about his company and management idea.

“We are not only selling the yacht but want to sell the wonderful memory for the high-end customer.” Johnny showed us the past and present of Ocean Alexander by talking about his business strategy and attitude. Johnny also shared his favorite booklist for us and taught us how he observe and analyze the market. His foresight lead Ocean Alexander successfully enter and dominate the North American luxury market.

The field trip to Ocean Alexander was one of the amazing and unforgettable for students. Everyone was impressed by the fancy yacht and the brilliant speech by Johnny. I would like to, on behalf of all participants, thank Ocean Alexander for letting us take a look at how they operate, CEO Johnny Chueh, who, despite his high position and tight schedule, found a way to come see us and exchange knowledge with us, our course instructor Prof. Heidi Chang who accompanied us to the company and arranged this trip for us.
